Personally, I agree with this opinion based on several compelling reasons, that these celebrities may have a negative influence on young people. However I also believe that there are other role models who are famous for their hard work and significant achievements.

On the one hand, people who are well-known known for their lavish lifestyles glamorous lifestyles can negatively affect youngsters by promoting materialism.materialistic values.To be more specific, younger generations can equate success with wealth, as they usually follow social media influencers who portray luxury as the ultimate symbol of achievement. As a result, many teenagers become more concerned with acquiring expensive possessions than developing valuable skills or pursuing academic excellence. Moreover, these stars can mislead children about the true meaning of success as their wealth and glamorous lifestyles may spring from their parents’ social status, family background or from being scandalous. For example, Paris Hillton is an American reality TV star, entrepreneur, model, and singer, who has often been regarded as a figure “ famous for being famous” since the 2000s. Her fame is largely due to her family’s real estate empire and her own extravagant lifestyle. By continuously showing off excessive wealth by posting pictures of her private jet she delivers a message that one’s worth is measured by material possessions. Consequently, this can reinforce the misconception that success can be achieved overnight without any efforts and give them a twisted perspectives on life’s value.

On the other hand, there are many other role models who become famous due to their admirable achievements in their careers and social lives. Indeed, many are respected as they have experienced struggles when pursuing their dreams, however, they still put a lot of effort and work their way up with their talents, patience. This inspires and motivate youngsters to work hard and pursue excellence to achieve a fulfilling career. For instance, Taylor Swift has earned global recognition not only for her musical talent but also for her dedication. Her success demonstrates that long-term commitment and continuous self-improvement, rather than material wealth, are the true foundations of achievement. Moreover, many celebrities take advantage of their own influence for social good by raising funds and donate to charity and support education or environmental protection. As a result, this plays a crucial role in raising people’s awareness of global issues, which encourages younger generations to take action for our community.

In conclusion, while some stars exert negative influence on young people by promoting materialism and misleading children about the definition of success,many others inspire young people through their talents, patience and meaningful contributions to society.
