As a result, small-and-medium local companies have the ability to parallelly thrive with large corporations, thereby fostering a prosperous business system and creating a plethora of job opportunities for the workforce. Furthermore, clients nowadays are likely to enjoy an unprecedented range of styles and price points compared to the past. For instance, take the aforementioned platform Tiktok shop and Shopee as the evidences, such apps provide a wide variety of fashionable products for a large segment of the population, hence enabling this textile industry to become more inclusive and accessible for purchasers depending on their financial circumstances.

Nevertheless, this argument overlooks the fact that these merits are far outweighed by long-term environmental repercussions of this phenomenon. Chief among these is the tremendous amount of textile wastes ending up in landfills.
