Provided is a diagram depicting the structure and operation of a water-filter assembly that converts unfiltered water into drinkable one. Overall, the system consisted of two connected containers positioned at different heights. It is also notable that dirty water is filtered through three layers of material inside a plastic barrel before being transferred to a storage drum, from which fresh water can be collected for consumption. At the first stage of this process, untreated water is poured into the plastic barrel and covered by a plastic lid. Inside this barrel are three filtering layers arranged vertically. Sand forms the upper part, while charcoal is put at the middle and gravel occupies the bottom section. When unfiltered water moves downwards through these three layers, dirt and impurities are constantly removed. Once filtration has been completed, the purified water enters a pipe connecting two containers. Notably, the plastic barrel is situated above the storage drum, allowing water to flow naturally to the second container. The clean water is then stored in this drum and can be accessed through a tap fitted near the bottom of the storage drum.
