In recent years, there has been considerable debate about the association between technological devices and face-to-face communication skills. One school of thought holds that nowadays, the more people are using mobile phones and computers, the more direct communication ability are losing. From my perspective, I completely disagree with this view. In this essay, I will elaborate on the essential of technological advancements and the important elements of communication skills in this modern society.

Firstly, technological devices are important tools to help individuals become more connected and productive in this modern world. Nowadays, people tend to adopt mobile phones and computers in many aspects of their life, ranging from working, studying to entertaining, because of its convenient. They communicate and bond with others through email, messenger or other social media platforms instead of face-to-face meetings, helping them optimize time and effort. Furthermore, these technological advancements also pave the way for direct communication in real life. When people already have some instant messaging or teleconferencing, they can easily arrange for the direct meeting, avoiding some anxiety or awkwardness that lead to difficulties in finding the common ground and shared interests among each other. As a result, the efficiency of communication can be enhanced and improved so individuals can broaden and strengthen their social relationships, without repetitive physical interaction.

Secondly, the ability to communicate do not depend on using technological devices, but based on the perspective and mindset of each individual. There are many elements contribute to the effectiveness of communication such as critical thinking, flexibility in language use and psychological empathy. These communication skills can not be eliminated just because of using mobiles phones or computers. By contrast, these technological innovations can give individuals more opportunities to communicate and connect with a wide range of people all around the world through social media without any distance barriers. Therefore, the combination of technology and communication skills can boost and enhance the confident of individuals, helping them communicate more efficiently and clearly, regardless of face-to-face or online circumstances.

In conclusion, I firmly disagree that using mobile phones and computers can lose the face-to-face communication skills because of an crucial role of technology in this modern world and the essence of communication ability not based on these advancements.
