While, for fantasy and romance category just over 10% and around 5% respectively. In 2000, drama continued remain had the highest proportion at 35%, higher than that of comedy by 10%. Meanwhile, there is an increase from fantasy to approximately 16%. By contrast, romance remained unchanged over the period shown. In terms of cinema ticket sales, comedy was the highest-grossing genre at about 20% in 1996. It was followed by the figure of drama at over 15%. Meanwhile, romance and fantasy showed a lower figures at 5% and about 3% respectively. In the next 4 years, comedy rose by 3%, stood at approximately 23%, similarly drama witnessed a slight increase at roughly 16%. Meanwhile, fantasy experienced a significant rise to 6%, while romance fell to around 2% which was lower than that of fantasy.
