＋People are divided on whether schools should reward students who achieve the best acdemic or those who show greatest improvement. Since both approaches are justifiable, i believe that schools shoud recognise both group because they contribute student's motivation in different ways. While acknowledging the benefits of rewarding top performers, I still believe that schools should recognize students’ improvement instead of good results.

On the one hand, it is undestandable why some people believe that schools should reward students who show the best academic results. firstly, one of the main reason is that it inspires other students to aim for exellence. Outstanding students play the role models for their peers, encouraging them to study harder. For example, after seeing top-performing students receive rewards, many students become more determined to improve their own academic performance. Secondly, recognising academic excellence helps prepare students for merit-based competition outside school, such as in universities and workplaces. In modern society, people are often rewarded based on their achievements, so schools should encourage students to develop the mindset needed to succeed in the real world. On the other hand, there are compelling reasons why some people believe that schools should reward students who show the greatest improvement. First, supporters of this view argue that such rewards motivate weaker students to study harder instead of becoming discouraged by low grades. For instance, schools can reward students whose grades improve substantially over a semester, even if they are not among the highest achievers. As a result, these students become more motivated and continue working hard to achieve better results. It is also believed that this approach is fairer because every student has different starting points. Therefore, judging students solely by their final results may overlook those who have put a great deal of effort into improving themselves. For example, a student who improves from a failing grade to an average grade deserves recognition for their hard work and determination. For these reasons, I believe that rewarding improvement is a more inclusive and motivating approach for schools.

＋In conclusion, both approaches have their own advantages. However, I believe that rewarding students who show the greatest improvement is a better choice because it motivates students, encourages continuous effort and creates a fairer learning environment.
