Some individuals suggest that the global institution should take on the responsibility of handling environment problems rather than each single national government. There is some truth in that view, since environmental issues are not only the responsibility of one country, but also of the whole world. However, I do not agree that these issues should be addressed by establishing an international organization.

In recent years, a significant number of global problems such as climate change, pollution and resource depletion have been becoming increasingly severe. These issues pose major challenges and require international cooperation, so that they cannot be solved effectively if each country acts alone. A country may be trying to reduce its emissions, while the other nations continue to emit harmful gases. As environmental problems transcend national borders, this can still lead to serious consequences for all countries. In that sense, a global organization could play an increasingly important role in addressing these challenges. It can help set common goals, compile reliable databases, push pressure on irresponsible countries and provide funding and technology for poorer countries to create sustainable development. As a result, countries can take more responsibility rather than blaming or shifting the burden onto others.

However, tackling environmental issues by a global authority can become a double-edged sword if it is not utilized clearly. A country consists of a variety of small villages, towns, and large cities, which are often the origins of environmental issues such as transport, energy use, farming, construction and waste management. More importantly, these issues are often managed by local authorities and the government who can pass laws, enforce regulations, inspect companies, redesign cities, or change how electricity and public transport are used. Conversely, organizations just offer advice or pressure, but it cannot implement detailed solutions because they cannot manage strictly when every country also has different political and social conditions. If responsibility is moved too far upward, action may become slower, weaker, and less accountable.

In conclusion, I disagree with the idea that environmental issues should be handled by a global organization instead of nation governments. The best approach is not to replace national responsibility, but to combine it with international coordination to create a sustainable development for all countries in the world.
