Introduction

There has been controversy about whether international students exchange bring more benefits or drawbacks for teenage. From my perspectives, the advantages of this development out weigh its disadvantages.

Body

On the one hand, there are some drawbacks. Firstly, one of the main reasons is financial burden on many families. Students often have to pay for flights, accomodation, insurance and daily expenses, which may be to costly, especially the faimlies's middle incomes. Therefore, academically capable students form less wealthy familiy may miss the opportunity to participate in such programme. Another reason is the difficult adaptation. They cannot immediately adapt to completely new environment. Teenagers first naturally feel shy, lack of confidence or have limited language skills.. For example, an introverted student may avoid interacting with local people , leading to gain fewer cultural and linguistic benefits. As a result, they feel isoalted or fail to make the most of the programme. However, i believe the benefits are far more significant. Firstly, this can be improve language ability and communication skills. Because they always use foreign language everyday. leading to the confidence in speaking and listening through real life communication rather than only learning in classrooms. Also, they can be better language skills and improve their oppurtunities. For example, a vietnamese student studying in australia for 6 months may become much more fluent in english after communicating with teachers, classmates, and host families daily . Secondly, they can foster independence. They usually tackle the problems on their own, manage their daily lives, and adapt to the alien country, resulting in the mature of them. Finally, they may be develop global mindset. They are exposed to different cultures customs, and ways of thinking. Therefore, they more open-minded, respectful of diversity, and better prepared for an increasingly globalized world.

Conclusion

In conclusion, an international exchange absolutely have more chances than local teenage students, although they try to adapt challenges and learn to accept difficulties during the time.
