This alarming issue can stem from various crucial causes. Firstly, at school, students often have many extra examinations, which lead to they have to suffer from many pressures about academic scores. For example, before each test, they usually have to stay up late at night or spend all night cramming knowledge because of worries about academic performance. Another reason is one-way teaching lectures. At some academic environments, students are taught only theoretical lessons without real experiences. Therefore, after leaving school, they may lack communication and soft skills, which can make them miss some job opportunities. However, there are several solutions to prevent the negative effects and address this problem. Firstly, schools can reduce the pressure of scores on students by introducing additional assessment methods or alternative ways to earn extra points. Therefore, students can reduce academic pressure and feel more motivated when going to school. Secondly, schools can add more hands-on experiential learning sessions outside to develop students’ soft skills and practice critical thinking while facing real problems. As a result, students can easily address challenges they face in real life with confidence and without confusion.
