Looking first at the figure for Nissan, its time taken was around 37 hours for a single car in 1998. After that, Nissan reduced this time to 28 in 1999, 24 in 2000, 22 in 2001, and 21 in 2002, showing a massive decline of 16 hours in 4 years. Regarding General Motors, company was spending an average of 32 hours to make a vehicle in 1998, but then had a constant fall of about 2 hours each year from 1998 to 2002, eventually reducing to 24 hours. Turning to Daimler Chrysler, average was just above 30 hours in 1998, which then rose to 31 by 1999. After that, the company showed no change, remaining plateaued for 2 years and declining to 28 from 2001 to 2002. Starting off the chart with the lowest time in 1998, Ford remained stable for a year, which then experienced a growth of 1 hour each year from 1999 to 2001, reaching 27 hours. It then managed to reduce the required time by an hour, coming to 26 hours per vehicle by 2002.
