It is often argued that elderly people should continue working if it be able for them to do so. From my perspective, I totally agree with this view and will analyze it in detail in the following essay.

One key reason why I agree with this opinion is that people who continue working are more likely to stay physically and mentally active. This is because working helps them maintain their daily routine regularly as they are in the old age. What they need to practice every day is communication, solving complex problems, and acquiring new knowledge; these activities play a crucial role in their life. It not only affects their health or improve brain function, but it also creates a good life quality. These benefits decrease a sense of loneliness and the risk of mental health issues such as depression or Alzheimer’s disease. For example, a teacher, although at retirement age, still teaches part-time and opens an intensive class, always interacts with students, so he is very energetic and intelligent, which clearly supports this view. Another reason is that older employees possess valuable experience that can benefit both society and the economy. Initially, they have more quality experience and skills than young people because they have worked for a long time. So they can instruct new employees, reduce mistakes, and increase work productivity. Additionally, continuing to work creates an opportunity to earn money by themselves. As a result, their life will be easier and more convenient. For instance, the developer near my house chooses to work online to have more flexible time and make money by developing a website for governments. This further explains why I believe this view is correct.

In conclusion, I strongly agree that senior people can continue working if it is suitable for them. This is because their health has improved, they can earn money when they are at retirement age, and also contribute an important benefit to society, and therefore this view should be supported.
