The given line graph illustates the proportion of spending in a European country over a 40-year period starting from 1960. Overall, it is apparent that all features experienced a slight decline whereas the exception of transport, which witnessed a noticeable growth from 19960 to 2000. In addition, food was the first spending in 1960. At the start of the period, food ranked first and stood at approximately 33%, followed by leisure, which was 20%. The percentage of spending in clothing was 10% lower than leisure. The two lower-ranking were transport and energy, witnessed at 8% and 5% respectively. Afterwards, although food ranked first at the beginning, it declined sharply, from nearly 30% in 1970 to 13% in 2000. Following this is that leisure hit the lowest point, which was slightly under 20% in 1970 and then it consistantly dropped in 11% at the end of this period. Clothing witnessed a considerable decline, which stood at 8% in 1970 and then decreased slightly at 5%. Although transport is one of the two lower-ranking, it recorded a remarkable increase and overtook food in 2000. Energy decreased marginally, from 8% in 1970 to nearly 0% in 2000.
