The table illustrates how many people aged 65 and above in Canada, Germany and the UK. Overall, there was an increase in the proportions of citizens reaching the age 65 and more in all countries examined. In addition, Germany consistently had the highest figures throughout the period. The share of individuals who belong to the 65+ age bracket in Canada started at 16,45%, after which it experienced a remarkable rise to 20,65% in a 2000. A similar change, but to a greater extent, was seen in the figure for Germany, which grew sharply from 20,53% to 25,53% in the first half of the period. In the same time, those between the ages of 65 and more in UK also followed and upward trend in the population rate, growing from 14,25% to 14,80%. From 2000 to 2030, Germany is predicted to continue holding its leading role, whose figure kept increasing to end the period at 30,65%. Similarly, the figures for Canada and UK are estimated to rise, reaching 26,35% and 20,45%, respectively in the final year of the period.
