The diagrams illustrate the current layout of Huntingdon and the way it will appear. Overall, this area is set to undergo significant redevelopment to enhance transport accessibility. These significant changes involve improvements in public infrastructure, adjustments to traffic networks, and the introduction of a section for industrial purposes at the expense of an open-air site. Looking first at the road system, it is proposed to be redeveloped notably. The northwestern roundabout, where the A1 and 14 roads intersect, is set to remain unaltered. While the former runs from north to south, the latter travels horizontally along the south. A branch-off links the northern end of A1 to the existing airfield, which is slated for conversion into an industrial estate. In the middle lies Brampton Road which now intersects the A14. Brampton Road not only connects the A1 to the existing ring road encircling the eastern town center but also forms a T-junction with the A1. In the future, the intersection will be replaced by a new roundabout, accompanied by the removal of the southern part of the A14. At the same time there will be the construction of a new brand-off the A14 Road running from the southern part of the A1 to a new road linking to the ring road. Concurrently, the southern end of the A1 will be narrower, according to the proposal. Surrounding the rail way station and the town center, the built-up area will remain, with a cluster of shops and residences. However, planned rail lines are anticipated to connect the existing system with the newly constructed industrial zone, enhancing urban transport connectivity.
