The line chart illustrate the number of women people of parliament in five European countries from 2000 to 2012. Overall, Germany had the highest starting point among all the countries. Despite Spain and Belgium having a relatively low starting point, its figure rose sharply toward in the final year. UK and Italy have been the lowest point at the beginning, and its percentage still lowest although it rose substantially at the end of the period. In 2000, Germany stood at around 13% at the beginning. After 12 years, the proportion always was maintained stable and ended just fluctuate slightly in the middle years. While the figure of Germany remained relatively stable, whereas Spain showed considerable volatility, with the number of female participation in Spain approximately 27%, stood at second compared all the country. Its figure rose rapidly and hit the highest point at around 35% in 2004. After eight years, the trade was fell slowly and ended with 35% in 2012. Meanwhile, Belgium was went up quickly. It started at just 24% before rising sharply to 35% just after four years. By 2008, the percentage stayed constant 35% and it jumped at 38% in 2012. And the figure of Belgium hit the highest point compared all the countries. However, UK and Italy have been a low starting compared with three countries in the period. UK stood at around 16 at the beginning, remained steady during the four-year period. By 2012, the number of UK was increased significantly and ended at approximately 23 percentage. Beside that, the figure of Italy had the lowest started. Nevertheless, the percentage at the end of the period was quickly eight year and remains relatively stable throughout the four years in 2012. Its final figure was the same as that of the UK.
