＋It is often considered that children should be taught how to become good members of society by their own parents, while others are convinced that this is the responsibility of educational institutions. Although I acknowledge that parents are of great importance in reshaping their children’s personality, I firmly believe schools should be the main contributor to educating children to become responsible citizens in society.

On the one hand, educating children to be responsible citizens is the responsibility of their parents. Since parents play an indispensable role in shaping adolescents’ characteristics and lifestyles, they can learn how to instruct them to know what they should do and what they should not. This is shown in Vietnam, where children are taught during their childhood about social norms and government rules that they should comply with or avoid. Therefore, they are capable of taking charge of what they do, whether things are positive or not.

On the other hand, schools and educational institutions hold it accountable for teaching their students to become good members of society. This is because schools tend to place a powerful emphasis on fostering children’s holistic well-being. Therefore, these places lay a core foundation to assist offspring in learning and growing. In addition, educational institutions, especially vocational centers, organize a wide range of social campaigns and workshops with a view to orienting children to become responsible citizens in society, thereby raising awareness of responsibility and collaboration.＋

＋In conclusion, notwithstanding the importance of parents in educating children to become good members of society, I firmly contend that schools should take responsibility for shaping children’s social behavior and personality. Therefore, children can bolster their sense of responsibility and collaboration in the near future.
