There is a common phenomenon among children finding it difficult to maintain concentration during school lessons. From my perspective, this trend stems from the advancement of technology and unsuitable teaching methods of many schools. In order to tackle this problem, it is not only advisable for parents to set limitations in children’s screen time, but schools should also have positive changes to make students’ learning more engaging.

Introduction
Body
To begin with, there are two root causes leading to the reduction of children’s attention in school, including the development of technology and unsuitable teaching approaches for students in many schools. First, in terms of technological advancement, technical tools, such as smartphones and computers, have become a part of many children’s lives. However, instead of utilizing them to improve studying productivity, an ever-increasing number of students regard these gadgets as a means of entertainment, gradually resulting in the addiction and other changes in their own lifestyles, such as reducing sleeping time or shorter focusing span. As a result, the youth are likely to struggle to stay alert and focused during morning lessons at school in the daylights. Another compelling reason for this is uninteresting teaching methods. In several countries, the teacher-driven approach is popular as it is the most effective way to convey a large amount of knowledge in such a limited time of a lesson. Despite its efficiency, many students may find it tedious to constantly access theoretical understanding without any practical experience, which can considerably reduce their interest and concentration on particular subjects.
Due to the above reasons, a joint effort from parents and schools is necessary to create profound improvements in this phenomenon. Regarding parental support, it is advisable for parents to have methods to minimize the time that their children allocate to technological devices and also teach their children how to utilize technological devices most effectively. For example, they can set limitations on screen time, and have any light punishments when their children break that regulation, as well as teaching them how technology can be applied into other living aspects except for recreation alone. In addition to parental actions, many schools should also create a more interesting studying environment. This can be exemplified by organizing extracurricular activities and experiments where children can fully acknowledge complicated but boring definitions and formulas, besides theoretical lessons in classrooms. Not only does this improve students’ interest in studying, but it also allows them to develop their own interpretations, making learning activities more engaging. In the long term, with these efforts, I believe that this phenomenon can be substantially improved and reduced among children.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the reduction in focusing span in children during school time mainly results from two underlying reasons, including the increase of screen time and several unsuitable teaching approaches in many schools. If there are actions from parents and schools themselves, I believe that this problem can remarkably be solved in the future.
