In modern society, young people are admiring media and sports stars who do not set a good example. I believe this is a negative development because several reasons will be listed below.

On the one hand, young people are fans of media and sports stars for numerous reasons. Firstly, idols help young people on the way completing their dreams. To be more specific, in 4.0 society, many young people are confused about their future jobs, their forthcoming lives, so they do not know how to become a successful individual. Therefore, they can be inspired by listening to audio or reading some articles about stars’ lives and their successful process. Secondly, watching videos about their idols is the best way for them to unwind and improve their mood after a long day of hard work. This is because young people often stay under pressure from their deadlines, their salaries, their marriages, so looking at their idols will help them laugh and have more energy to work. On the other hand, I think this is a negative development because of serious consequences. Firstly, in social media, a lot of artists and sports stars share fake advertisements or false opinion about social problems. To be more specific, a number of idols took advantage of their fame to introduce or describe about a sensitive issue while young people do not have enough experiences to understand and distinct what is a real news. As a result, they do not have a deep insight into social aspects and only judge one side. For instance, in Vietnam, many famous artists removed country and support to treason which makes young people have a bad view about their hometown. Secondly, admiring idols will make some people waste their time. This is because instead of helping parents clean the house, hang out with their close friends, or do homework, they spend much time watching videos of their idols. As a result, the connection between citizens will decline, so society will be become cool and bad.

＋Although admiring media and sports stars who do not set a good example will have advantages, I believe this is a negative development.
