The four bar charts illustrate the quantities of four types of citrus fruits exported to the three leading destination countries in 2012, with figures measured in thousand tonnes. Overall, Mexico emerged as the top importing country in Lemons and Others, whereas Oranges and Grapefruits were dominated by distinct regions. Notably, the Others exhibited the most uneven export volumes, while the Grapefruits markets showed the most balanced distribution. Regarding Lemon and the Others, Mexico stood out as the principal destination, receiving around 500 thousand tonnes in each category. The US recorded the runner-up figure in Lemon with 200 thousand tonnes, almost doubling Argentina with only 100 thousand tonnes. An even more pronounced disparity was evident in the "Others” category where Egypt and the USA each received only around 20 thousand tonnes, leaving Mexico’s figure more than twenty times higher than that of either of the other two destinations. In contrast, the highest export volumes for oranges and grapefruits were destined for South Africa and Turkey, at just over 1,000 and 400 thousand tonnes respectively. In both categories, the remaining two countries imported considerably smaller quantities. For oranges, Egypt occupied second place with 500 thousand tonnes, surpassing the US with 400 thousand tonnes. Grapefruit imports, however, were distributed more evenly, with Mexico receiving 300 thousand tonnes and the USA a further 200 thousand tonnes.
