The process given illustrates how sugar is manufactured from sugar cane. Overall, the entire diagram is a largely mechanical process consisting of seven primary stages, beginning with growing canes during the 12-18-month period, and ending with drying and cooling the sugar. To begin with, the sugar canes are grown for about 12 to 18 months to become mature before being harvested by two different methods, namely by specialized truck and by hand. Following that, the collected sugar canes are crushed in a milling machine in order to extract juice. Once the crushing step is finished, the juice is then passed through the limestone filter to be purified. In the next stage, the liquid in the filtered juice is evaporated in the evaporator, resulting in the collection of syrup. After that, the syrup is put into a centrifuge to separate sugar crystals from syrup, preparing for the final stage, when the sugar is dried and cooled in the container.
