＋Some individuals claim that the most effective way to prevent the crisis of obesity is by increasing the price of sugar. In my point of view, I partly agree with this opinion due to some reasons that are mentioned in this essay.

On the one hand, the price of sugar has recently become significantly affordable due to the better agriculture and higher production. In this day and age, people rely on sugar to produce energy, which is vital for our daily works. For instance, many office workers often drink or consume sugary products when feeling stressed in order to release dopamine, which gives them quick energy and high concentration for a short time. By contrast, this situation are getting worse because of people’s over-reliance or over-consumption on sugar. Therefore, by increasing the price of sugar people will allow people to get more opportunities for many other healthier options and decrease the risk of developing obesity.On the other hand, if the government wants to lower people’s demand of sugar consumption, the price of sugar should be dramatically increased. Since sugar is one of the most critical source of energy that we all need for our daily life, the government has to make sure that all individuals could afford the price of it even those low-income people.＋

＋In conclusion, I strongly believe that by raising the price of sugar can reduce the consumption of suagr in some way. However, there are some drawbacks that we all need to consider carefully in order to have a comprehensive solution to the problem of obesity.
