＋In modern society, young people are admiring media and sports stars who do not set a good example. I believe this is a negative development because of several reasons.

On the one hand, young people are fans of media and sports stars for numerous reasons. Firstly, idols help young people achieve their dreams. To be more specific, in the digital age, many young people are confused about their future jobs, their upcoming lives, so they do not know how to become successful individuals. Therefore, they can be inspired by listening to audio or reading some articles about stars’ lives and their paths to becoming successful. Secondly, watching videos about their idols is the good way for them to unwind and improve their mood after a long day of hard work. This is because young people usually stay under pressure from their deadlines, their salaries, their marriages, so looking at their idols will help them laugh and have more energy to work.＋ On the other hand, I think this is a negative development because of serious consequences. Firstly, on social media, a lot of artists and sports stars share fake advertisements or false opinions about social problems. To be more specific, a number of idols took advantage of their fame to introduce or discuss a sensitive issue while young people do not have enough experience to understand and distinguish what is real news. As a result, they do not have a deep insight into social aspects and only judge one side. For instance, in Vietnam, many famous artists removed themselves from national issues and supported treason which makes young people have a bad view about their hometown. Secondly, admiring idols will lead some people to waste their time. This is because instead of helping parents clean the house, hanging out with their close friends, or doing homework, they spend much time watching videos about their idols. As a result, the connection between citizens will decline, so society will become cold and disconnected.

Although admiring media and sports stars who do not set a good example will have advantages, I believe this is a negative development.
