The bar chart shows the divergence and the similarity of the average expenditure of British citizens in every month among five categories from 1990 to 2010. Overall, while the amount of money that people from Britain spent on paying the utility bills, travelling, food shopping and rent saw an upward trends, the inverse is true for those which spent on entertaining themselves. It is noteworthy that the average amount of money spent per month on paying the rent always the highest. Regarding the increasing trends, the money that British humans spent on water, electric or Internet bills witnessed a remarkable surge between approximately 80 pounds and nearly 150 pounds from 1990 to 2010. There was a moderate growth in the amount of money expenditure on transportation from around 180 pounds to 250 pounds, to make this area become more popular over the given period. By 1990, approximately 450 pounds can be seen on paying the rent every month, then soared considerably over next twenty years to peak at 600 pounds in 2010 and always the highest of four different categories. Furthermore, the average monthly spending on groceries rose gradually from over 300 pounds to nearly 350 pounds in the same period. Concerning the downward trend, there was a slight decrease in the amount of money spent on entertainment between over 100 pounds to 100 pounds to make it become less popular in the Britain and always the lowest among all.
