The graph illustrates information about the proportion of households that own different numbers of computers in a European country between 1997 and 2011. From an overall perspective, while the proportion of households without any computers decreased considerably, the figures for two or more devices became increasingly common. Meanwhile, single-computer households remained by far the most prevalent group throughout most of the period. As can be seen, in 1997, the percentage of households without any computers recorded the highest figure, although this saw a steady decline over the period, standing at around 20% at the end. The figure for a single-computer started at 45%, which was the second most prevalent group at the beginning of the period. In the following years, its figure remained relatively stable compared to other groups, accounting for over 45% in the final year. Regarding households with multiple choices, in 1997, only around 6% of homes owned two computers, while there were no households that possessed three or more. The former figure then followed a steady upward trajectory, climbing to roughly 15% in 2003 and one-fifth by 2006, before ending the period at nearly 30%. A similar, albeit far more gradual, rise was observed in the figures for households with at least three computers, which only began to grow from 2000 onwards, reaching approximately 8% in the final year.
