The pie charts depict the age distribution of users across three social media platforms: Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter. Overall, Facebook and Youtube exhibited similar age profiles, with the proportion of users aged 18-49 making up over half of all users on both platforms, while the other age groups represented a minority. By contrast, the 18-34 age group was predominant on Twitter, which was followed by people aged 35-49. Accounting for around 30% in Facebook and YouTube, people aged 35-49 formed the largest segment, whereas the second largest proportion of the 18-34 age group constituted 29% in Facebook and 26% in YouTube, respectively. The remaining age groups comprised two-fifths of users on each platform, with the smallest share being observed among the oldest group of people aged 65 and above. Twitter differed considerably from the other two platforms. The 18-34 category dominated with 40%, compared to only one-tenth of that for those aged 65 and over. Ranking second in Twitter was the 35-49 age group with 29%, which was followed by the group of middle-aged people between 50 and 64. Ultimately, the youngest group, comprising users aged 10-17, accounted for only 9%.
