The bar chart depicts the information about the quantity of girls per 100 boys participated in different levels of school education. From an overall perspective, the number of girls enrolled in education in developed countries was always higher than developing countries. In addition, all figures witness the upward trend during surveyed period. Beginning with primary education, 83 girls pursued this disciplines in 1990, which saw a slight increase to 87 girls in 1998 in some developing countries. Whereas, a negligible difference was observed in the data on developed countries among two years with 95 and 96 girls respectively. Both figures for developing & developed countries was lower than target. Turning to secondary education, developing countries had 72 girls in 1990, which was much lower than this figures in 1998 with 82 girls. In addition, secondary education attracted 98 and 99 girls respectively in 1990 and 1998 in developed countries, showing gender equalities between boys and girls. Ending with tertiary education, the quantity of girls from developing countries attended this disciplines was 66 people in 1990 while these continued to increase significantly to 75 girls in 1998, resulting in still unachieving target and showing a remarkable disparity among some countries.
