The pie charts compare the percentage of the whole population spending in a specific European country that spent on diverse products and services in 1958 and 2008. Overall, while luxury food, housing, travel rose significantly, entertainment and clothing dipped sharply. Food occupied the most proportion of sales in 1958 but it was replaced by housing in 2008. In 1958, housing obtained 22%, when travel and luxury goods just started the smaller proportion, with 8% and 7%. Besides, housing increased from 22% to 32%, becoming the highest sales. The trending of travel and luxury goods also followed the same pattern with increasing approximately doubled its. Travel started from 8% and doubled to 17% in 2008. Similarly, luxury goods grew from 7% to 17%. In 1958, food sales accounted for nearly one-third at 32%, whereas clothing and entertainment made up 18% and 13%. Food sales were decreased rapidly to 12% in 2008. In the same way, clothing fell slightly to 16%, when entertainment dropped dramatically that decreased by half to 6%, becoming the lowest goods.
