Introduction

It is said that relocating the large companies, factories and their workers to the rural areas can deal with transportation and accommodation issues. From my perspective, although this measure can bring several disadvantages, I still partly agree with this statement.

Body

Admittedly, relocating firms and their workforce to the countryside can offer some significant advantages. First and foremost, in many companies, they are likely to put their headquarters or branches into the developed cities, approaching lots of job seekers. As a result, this trend in turn drives loads of daily commuters, leading to traffic congestion, even unexpected accidents causing severe injuries for humans. Simultaneously, the demand for accommodation arises, causing high property prices which place considerable strain on the number of residents of middle and low socio-economic status and increase the rate of homelessness. Moving the companies and their employees to rural areas can ease the pressure on the traffic system thanks to alleviating the volume of people moving around in the cities. Alongside this, if the property market was stabilized, housing prices would be easy for citizens to afford.

However, this measure also has several drawbacks. Firstly, people who prefer a fast-paced urban lifestyle or settle in the cities, living in the countryside to work may be challenging and they would quit their job to find adequate careers in cities. Consequently, this shift would take a heavy toll on how many companies’ workers. As well as this, factories are forced to either transport all the recent infrastructure or invest in new necessary equipment, which may waste much time and be unaffordable, especially for those having tough budgets. Therefore, I hold the belief that new firms and businesses should be encouraged to establish in the countryside and existing companies in the cities can open additional branches in less densely populated areas to address these problems related to housing and traffic effectively.

Conclusion

In conclusion, despite the aforementioned disadvantages in terms of the decrease of workers and financial burdens in the underdevelopment of companies, I sustain my point of view that moving businesses and employees to the rural areas can tackle the matters of traffic and accommodation due to declining thick commuter density and rebalancing housing demand.
