Nevertheless, others still value the importance of printed materials in modern societies. From an attitudinal perspective, the benefits of printed books are still greatly immense, despite the growing popularity of e-books.

One the one hand, some people believe that the development of technology comes along with the gradual obscurity of printed materials. It is undeniable that the digital era has enabled materials to be stored electronically, offering convenience for office workers who are frequently snowed under a pile of materials. Having materials stored electronically facilitates their workload, thereby lowering pressure and increasing productivity at work. In terms of environmental aspect, printed materials means that cutting down trees is essential to manufacture adequate papers for books. As a result, cutting down trees may lead to deforestation, causing loss of biodiversity and threatening wildlife habitats.＋ Therefore, a group of people view printed materials as catalyst promoting environmental concerns while they also value the advantages of electronic materials because of its convenience for office workers. On the other hand, my firm conviction is that the benefits are increasingly more important in today’s world when it comes to reliability and validity of information as well as healthy habits. Even though the digital era allows each individual to publish any documents or books on the Internet, these materials may not be fact-checked. Consequently, the information may be flawed or unreliable. In stark contrast, printed books are always fact-checked strictly before they are published. Hence, the reliability and validity of electronic materials may not be nearly as trustworthy as printed materials. In addition, sticking to the screen has become woven into the fabric of modern lifestyle, people are densely exposed to electronic screens, resulting in eye problems and causing more unhealthy habits, such as playing video games or watching TV uncontrollably. Printed books, however, do not let readers suffer eye problems and it is also a healthy habit for each individual to follow.＋

In conclusion, technological era has generated more methods for storing materials either online or via printed materials. ＋I still wholeheartedly assert that printed books play an integral role in people’s lives as these materials provide individuals with reliable information and promote healthier lifestyles.
