In some nations, it has become far more normal for an individual to live by themselves these days than in the past. From my perspective, this trend could have both positive and negative consequences in equal measure.

On the one hand, people have their own personal freedom, which means that they are becoming independent in recent days and want to live their lives without hinder and restrictions. The authentic self of each individual could be had more opportunities to develop themselves to their fullest potential. For instance, it is a good benefit for people who want to travel and explore the world, because it can help them to border their horizons and find their interests. All hard and soft skills would be improved by living alone, those who want to live by themselves should learn to use household appliances, do household chores and have more knowledge about monthly payments such as water and electricity bills, etc.＋

On the other hand, despite the benefits mentioned above, living on their own also brings about several obvious drawbacks. Firstly, rather than the feeling of independence, people who live alone may undergo a sense of loneliness, isolation and anxiety. It is attributed to the fact that they miss out on the emotional support and daily conservation that family or flatmates can provide. Moreover, they may shock about all household bills. In this situation, the feeling of depression and confusion would come and a person who cannot get over it may get depressed. Secondly, from the financial point of view, a rise in the desire for housing is able to push up property prices and rents. While this may benefit some businesses, the general population will be faced with excessive living costs and economic crises.

＋In conclusion, the growth of one-person households obviously has both beneficial and detrimental effects on either individuals or the economy.
