The maps depict the transformation of a big coastal city between 1995 and present. Overall, the city has undergone significant urbanization throughout the period, in which the agricultural, forestry and fishery areas have been removed and replaced by modern infrastructure. In the north-east side of the city, the vast agricultural land and the nearby forest park have been removed to make space for modern golf and tennis courts. Meanwhile, moving to the west, it can be observed that there are several houses built in the residential area at present. The road surrounding the separated 4 houses is now extended to the west, in order to create a connection with the 2 newly-constructed ones. In the bottom of the maps, there used to be an old fish market located on the left side of the beach, next to a fishing port with 4 boats in the center and 5 shops across the road. However, those facilities have been completely demolished at present. The shops have been replaced by restaurants, while new apartments were constructed in the place which were the former market. In contrast, the hotel and the coffee shop on the right side of the beach remain unchanged, and there is even a whole new car park at the corner to serve the guests of the hotel.
