＋Studying abroad is chosen by many students for higher education. Although this trend has certain disadvantages, these pale in comparison with its advantages.

On the one hand, it is understandable why many opponents of this trend claim that student should not move to other countries for higher education. Firstly, this may cause students to lose their cultural identity. Because when individuals move to other countries, they could be immersed in culture of their host countries. As a result, this could form a perception that foreign cultures would be superior, and students’ local cultures would be marginalized. From a social perspective, some people would be isolated from their peers. This is because students would fail to have enough language proficiency, leading to a language barrier, making people feel more lonely, contributing to an increase in the rate of having depression among teenagers.＋

On the other hand, it would be impolitic to overlook the desirable effects of studying abroad. From an educational perspective, moving to other countries for studying could offer more opportunities for individuals in the future. Since the investment in education of certain countries like the USA, Japan, and China would be quite high, this could result in providing more important knowledge and skills for students who choose study abroad instead of learning only theories from textbooks. As a result, students’ CVs would be more perfect; and they would be more accepted from prestigious companies when they apply into job positions. Moreover, studying in other countries could allow students to become independent. As they could struggle to rely on other people in a new nation, they would have to learn survival skills, including cooking, doing washing, or driving vehicles. This would resulting in students controlling their activities and emotions more thoroughly.＋

＋To summarize, although there are certain drawbacks of studying abroad, I believe that the advantages of this trend are more compelling overall.
