In recent years, the rapid development of technology is a double-edge sword for society. Today's world has sparked a heated debate about the number of criminal decreased by the advanced technology. From my observation, I firmly agree that modern technology supports law enforcers and solving criminal activities.

Admittedly, technology has some detrimental impacts on the society and it might limit the reducing crime. When social platforms increasingly becoming famous, the number of online crime increase dramatically. To be specific, cybercriminals create hacking tools to steal personal data, especially baking password, resulting in a new type of criminal behavior. As a consequence, residents not only prevent criminals in real life, it spread to the online space.＋

By contrast, the benefits that technology brings to crime prevention are outweigh the drawbacks. The most compelling arguement is the improvement of high-quality of technology. This is because high-tech helps individuals to solve problems faster and more accurately. In some cases, CCTV cameras can help polices and authorities indentify the lawbreaker through clear videos and photos, while in the past it may be inaccurately to find the true criminal by memory portraits from witnesses. Scientists nowadays use DNA analysis, fingerprint databases to find offenders quickly and exactly, whereas from the past scientists used to. Furthermore, social platforms would be a greatest space allowed authorities to track criminals across regions more efficiently since polices now share information about offenders through digital networks and it hard for criminals to escape to another area.＋

In conclusion, even though technology may present cybercrime, I believe its benefits are far more significant in reducing the average of crimes . Looking forward, advanced technology is more likely to make the society more safer.
