The graph illustrates how the amount of time producing cars by General Motor, Ford, Toyota, Honda changed in the US from 1998 to 2005. Overall, the amount of time for producing cars by 4 car manufacturers saw a downward trend. Notably, General Motor was likely to spend the most time manufacturing vehicle, regardless of their fluctuations. Meanwhile, Toyota and Honda were less involved in spending time creating cars. Looking at the statistics of high level groups, the amount of time General Motor spent manufacturing cars experiencing a downward trend. The figure dropped significantly from 32 hours in 1998 to only 22 hours per vehicles in 2005. Similarly, the total time that Ford used creating cars fell from 28 hours in 1998 to under 22 hours per car, despite its growth in 2001. Although the figures of General Motor and Ford saw a downward trend, they still kept the highest position over the period. Following to a small level groups, the amount of time Toyota and Honda spend producing car witnessed a downward trend, despite their fluctuations. The figure of Toyota rose in 1999 and 2002 before falling in 2001 and 2005, whilst Honda’s one grew in 2000 and dropped in 1999 and 2005, with the same rate roughly 22 hours at first and 20 at the end of the period.
