The given images illustrate how the front area of an Australian beach has developed over the past 76 years. Overall, the city has been newly renovated , becoming a much more urbanized and recreation-oriented area. The most striking feature can be noticed in the southern section of the map, with the introduction of new amenities and the expansion of the swimming pool. The northern part, in 1950, was featured with a road running from the west to the east, which linked to a car park located to its southern section. West of the eastern section, there was a line of public amenities, which included a playground, dining tables and a pavilion, situated on the same side of the road as the car park. In the present, the playground is converted into a second car park, with the road having been expanded to the south, leading directly to a lighthouse, whereas the dining tables and the pavilion stayed unchanged. In the southern part of the city, several significant changes took place between 1950 and the present day. The area used to have a simple infrastructure, with two 25m swimming pools, one positioned at the northwest of the beach, while another situated at the northeast, and to the western side of the lighthouse. Currently, the northwest pool has been expanded to reach a new size of 50m, without changing the location. Moreover, there has been the construction of a restaurant at the western side of the new swimming pool and two additional surf clubs, one lies between the restaurant and a 50m pool, while the other is located between the 25m pool and the lighthouse.
