＋Whether government funding should be allocated on science education rather than invest in other subjects has sparked a controversial discussion. From my perspective, although science investment in necessary for country's further development, I firmly believe that a comprehensive education with a moderate combination of diverse subjects offers more advantages.

Admittedly, investing in science education brings numerous benefits for both students' development and countries' progress. To begin with, students are less interested in learning science due to its academic nature and the lack of application to daily life. Therefore, when schools and teachers could integrate practical experiments, and hands-on adcademic research and upgraded scientific facilities, which all come from governmental subsidies, students are more likely to pursue the formal and structured the scientific education. This ultimately leads to wide range of valuable scientific research achievements. Those achievements lay the foundation of great inventions and they would spill over the applications of everyday technology, enhancing people's living standards and boosting the national and global development.＋However, I still believe that government fundings should be equally spent on developing other subjects. An education system that relies heavily on scientific knowledge would create stressful environment and demotivation as not all students are capable of mastering specialised subject matter. Therefore, solely investing government fundings in those science subjects is neither practical nor fair while ignoring other important subjects such as literature, history and the social sciences or even physical education. They are equally important to develop student's communication skills, critical thinking, in-depth understanding of their culture and society and even their well-being. In comparison, science-based education also depend on dispassionate analysis and figures, therefore cannot bring the emotional connections, ethical awareness and the development of empathy and kindness as the social subjects offer. As a result, scientific breakthrough alone cannot guarantee a stable and harmonious society. For instance, professionals in science and technology still need strong communication and ethical awareness to ensure that their inventions are used responsibly. Therefore, governments should maintain a balanced education system in which science is strongly supported while other disciplines receive adequate funding.

＋In conclusion, although I strongly support greater investment in science education because of its contribution to technological and economic development, I do not think it should be prioritized to the extent that other subjects are underfunded. In my view, a balanced approach to education is the most effective way to achieve sustainable national progress.
