It is ture that community service can have benificial effects on teenagers. First of all, teenagers can improve a wide range of skills. More specifically, if they work for a charity and assit a donation, they need to find new donors and try to persuade them. If they teach sports to children, they would explain rules and lead them to play games. All of these can help them to develop soft skills in terms of leadership and communication. In addition, teenagers could gain good moral values if they take part in community service. For example, teenagers can develop a sense of social responsbility by helping others. These moral values that they learned will be along with them in formative years. However, community service should not be compulsory in high-school.
