Health was the dominant figure in this graph in 1980 with around $7 billion. Subsequently, this group’s expenditure skyrocketed and reached its peak at roughly $22 billion in 2004 before dropping down to approximately $18 billion in 2008. The similar pattern can be seen in other’s group, starting with around $7 billion in 1980, its figure then marginally descend to $5 billion in 1984 and surged up to around $8 billion 2000. Finally, the proportion decreased to roughly $5 billion in 2008. Regarding the least notable group- general science, this group had the lowest number with roughly $3 billion in 1980. Following this, its figure saw a slight rise and fall around $3-4 billion from 1984 to 1996 before remaining stagnant at $5 billion from 2000 to 2008. Turnign to space expenditure, this group had around $6 billion in 1980. After that, the figure dropped down to $5 million and finally rose up to roughly 9 percent in 2008.
