It is widely believed that people nowadays exhibit a tendency to loss of capacity to interact directly due to using modern devices such as smartphones, computers and laptops. From my perspective, while I concede that relying on smart devices can lead to less confident in face-to-face communication, I firmly do not believe they are completely losing this ability for several reasons.＋

On the one hand, it is understandable why some argue that spending too much time on digital devices reduces real-life interactions. The younger generation nowadays spend an inordinate amount of time on social media platforms, which discourages them from experiencing outdoor activities such as football, team building. Consequently, their ability to convey thoughts for their family and friends declines whereas fosters a sense of isolation. As a result, people become impaired in exchanging information or ideas for listeners. For instance, there have been a significant growth number of children suffering from depression in Viet Nam alongside with increasing screen time, becoming less capable of communication.＋

On the other hand, there are many benefits that outweigh the disadvantages. Firstly, people particularly youngsters who can take advantage of digital gadgets ultimately broaden their communication skills due to various sources on the Internet. Social media such as Facebook or Instagram address real-world situations of society correctly, providing effective tips for both adults and teenagers. Whenever they face up to those challenges in reality, the in-dept understanding of societal issues offers them opportunities to tackle these harsh problems. For example, the unemployed have been given a great deal of practical interview guidance by professionals or interviewers. Secondly, the development of video call and advanced technology such as AI enables people enhance speaking skill easily. By practicing and interacting with online friends, students can achieve better communication skills without wasting money or having a financial burden. Therefore, citizens who are equipped with interpersonal communication can enter the job market without hesitation.

＋In conclusion, making use of electronic devices is more positive than negative as many people argue about it deterioration of communication skills. Nevertheless, people should us make use of digital gadgets in impactful ways.
