The graph shows information about the proportion of women, men and children living in the UK who ingested the suggested amount of fresh produce on a daily basis in 2002, 2006 and 2010. Overall, three groups of residents all witnessed a similar pattern: the figure increased gradually in the first four years before declined in the later period. Meanwhile women were the group consuming the largest quantity of fruit and vegetables througout the surveyed timeframe while the figure for the children recored the reverse trend. Looking at the details, the percentage of children living in the UK who ate fruit and vegetable experienced a rise from 11% to 16% during 2002 and 2006 before decreased to 14% in 2010, making childern the lowest figure compared to the remaining groups. Regarding to men and women group, while the amount of fresh food consumed by men in 2002, 2006 and 2010 accounted for 22%, 28% and 24%, the percentage of women group was slightly higher, with 25%, 32% and 27% respectively, which outnumbered that of their counterparts.
