The table compares the figure for pay of secondary/high school teachers among different nations in 2009 Overall, it is clear that teachers in Luxembourg received the highest salaries. While Japan recorded the lowest starting salary. Additionally Denmark and Australia witnessed the quickest time to achieve teachers to reach the maximum salary scale. took the least amount of time to achieve maximum salary scale Australia and Denmark started with pay of 34,600 and 47,000. After 15 years both countries recorded in increased slightly approximately 48,000 and 50,000. Over time, the salaries in these this two countries stayed almost constant. It took 8 to 9 years to reach this level. Luxembourg outperformed other countries in the salaries of teacher, from 80,000 to 112,000.
