Introduction

Recently, a school of thought holds that it is compulsory for young people who are below the age of 18 to remain in full-time education. From my perspective, I fully agree with this view.

Body

It is undeniable that full-time education offers children a lot of benefits for both their personal development and their future career prospects. The first compelling benefit is that teenagers can acquire essential academic knowledge. Since children in school have to learn various subjects, they can improve their numeracy, literacy as well as critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills. As a result, such knowledge will build a strong academic foundation, which will help them prepare better for their higher education and ultimately lead to valuable career opportunities in the future. Another underlying benefit is that remaining in full-time education helps prevent young people from committing criminal activities. Obviously, not only do schools offer students with academic instruction but also teach moral values and discipline through some certain educational regulations. Therefore, by spending most of their time in a structured and disciplined educational environment and under the supervision and guidance of teachers, children are more likely to follow the rules and develop a strong sense of responsibility toward the society, which reduces the rate of juvenile delinquency.

Conversely, it is often argued that it is better for teenagers to engage in the workforce at an early age in order to become more independent and acquire practical life skills. This is because working at a young age allows teenagers to develop essential workforce skills such as communication skills, teamwork or stress management, which are highly valued by managers. However, this argument overlooks the fact that full time education not only equips children with academic knowledge but also organizes many vocational training and life-skills programs to help students acquire these essential skills without leaving school. Therefore, candidates who have both a solid educational background and practical skills will be much more successful and attractive to employers compared to those who only have real-world experience.

Conclusion

In conclusion, despite the belief that children should leave full-time education at an early stage to adapt to real world, I strongly agree that children who are under 18 should remain in full-time education because this tendency offers children with better career prospects and improve their personal development through disciplined environment
