Technological developments are projected to reduce the amount of time people spend working and give people more time. While modern technology improves productivity, I would contend that this prediction is partly accurate because the saved time is replaced by higher responsibilities and expectations.

On the one hand, technological innovations have significantly enhanced efficiency and convenience in work and daily life. One primary reason is that technology facilitates work. Thanks to the development of artificial intelligence and robotics, people nowadays can easily analyze data and prepare reports that previously required hours, thereby saving a huge amount of working time and reducing stress caused by overwhelming workloads. In addition, in life, technology assists individuals with their household chores. For example, robotic vacuum cleaners help people clean the floors effectively, especially miniscule dust without much physical effort such as sweeping and mopping. Therefore, people can theoretically gain more time to pursue personal interests and relax than before.

On the other hand, technical innovations may place greater pleasure on employees' schedules and their professional prospects. One major reason comes from its availability. The boundaries between work and personal life of workers have been blurred significantly as they tend to answer emails and attend virtual meetings outside their working hours, making employees busier and limiting their time spent on other activities.＋ Another problem is the new professional demands. The rise in productivity of tasks completed by AI may lead people to be accomplished in their responsibilities in order to not be fired or replaced by robots or AI, forcing them to learn more practical skills and adapt to the latest technological trends outside fixed schedule to get a promotion.＋＋
