To this end, many people believe that progresses in AI might generate more employment opportunities than they replace. While it is evident that the advent of AI has terminated specific job types, I believe that this has also opened up employment prospects in automation management, content control and educational materials’ assessment.

Admittedly, some people might argue that the advent of AI has taken over some domains and terminated some positions. They suppose that fields which normally require menial labour are most likely to be replaced, owning to AI’s superior productivity and precision compared to human labour. However, this line of reasoning is not sound because it fails to factor in the fact that the scope of AI automation is determined by human creators, meaning that AI and other automated machinery can only function under their guidance. As a result, the demand for management by human workers has increased, which obviously leads to more jobs in automation supervision area. To add further credence to my assertion, I note the explosion of job opportunities in the field of content creation. It stands to reason that as AI-generated content infiltrates the social networking sites, the jobs of content creators and video editors run the highest risk of replacement. However, with their knowledge about content generation, they can still excel at its management and censorship, limiting offensive and meaningless content. Leu Bao, a nationwide video censoring group, has been a crucial contributor to maintaining healthy social media platform by identifying and censoring derogatory and meaningless AI-generated posts and video while at the same time generating job opportunities related to content management. Another sector that witnesses the boom in employment in the age of AI is education, where teachers have harnessed AI-powered tools to create educational materials. The need for supervising their creation has led to increasing demand for qualified teaching assistant and educational consultants, which proves that the number of job opportunities AI generates outstrips those it replaces.

In conclusion, AI, albeit replacing some specific job positions, has overall produced more job opportunities than it destroys, especially those requiring workers to supervise and control. As such, rather than worrying about the AI takeover, people should never stop boosting their skillsets to carve their own niche against the wave of technology.
