The table illustrates the information about the amount of money donated by charities in the USA,EU countries and other countries to less developed countries between 2006 and 2010, measured in millions of dollars.Overall,it can be seen that the money donated increased throughout the period except for 2009 contributions fell slightly. The USA is notable for recording the highest figures. First of all, the USA is a country which was dominated by donating the highest money during all of that period. Donations increased significantly from 9,8 million dollars in 2006 to 20,3 million dollars in 2010. However,there was a slight decline in 2009, when the figure fell from 17 millions dollars to 16,7 millions dollars. Despite the temporary drop, the USA still remained for its largest contributions to poorer countries. For the figures of the EU and other countries, they were far lower than those of the USA but followed a similar trend eventually.Donations from the EU climbed from 3,1 million dollars to 4,1 million dollars in 2010,although the figure dropped slightly in 2009. A similar pattern was witnessed in other countries,in which donations rose from 2.8 million to 3.7 million dollars despite a minor decline in the same year.Consequently,the total amount climbed from 15,7 million to a peak of 28,1 million between 2006 and 2010, after falling slightly to 23,5 million in 2009.
