It is widely assumed that corporations should have a responsibility towards society along with making financial profit. From my perspective,although making money is still the primary goal of businesses, I largely agree with this suggestion due to their crucial role in social development to alleviate burden for the government.

On the one hand, it is undeniable that companies should focus on profit-making duties as they play a key role in national economic development. In this modern era, many big companies contribute a huge amount of money for their national GDP thanks to their financial profits. If these companies go on enhancing productivity to maximize the revenue, they will pay more taxes for their nations, which enables these countries to develop significantly in terms of economy. This implies that these nations will benefit financially to not only maintain the national stability but also improve the living quality of society. On the other hand, I am more convinced that apart from focusing on profit-making duties, corporations should also pay their attention to social responsibilities to alleviate social issues. Nowadays, in many developing nations, there are countless situations of homeless people or individuals suffering from extreme diseases that the government can not shoulder all these responsibilities alone. If businesses implements policies to support these vulnerable groups, they will mitigate the burden on the authorities, which can also boost their credibility and reputation. For instance, many Vietnamese companies create employment opportunities and supporting programmes to reduce unemployment and social inability, which helps Vietnamese government spend more resources to improve other national problems. This indicates that besides paying taxed, companies can also help governments to tackle many social issues.

＋To sum up, many people argue that companies should pay attention to responsibilities towards society besides making money. From my viewpoint, I assert that they should support the government to tackle some social issues while maintaining their profit-making duties.
