The maps illustrate the transformation of Porth Harbour from 2000 to the present day. Overall, the harbour underwent significant redevelopment with constructions of a new hotel, cafes & shops and showers being added for visitors. Regarding the north side of the harbour, while the public beach and the space of passenger ferries remain uneven throughout the period, the dock is doubled for more vessels. Additionally, the marina and the fishing boats switched positions in order to have large space for private yachts. While the showers & toilet and the car park in the north-west stayed the same, a new restroom was built to the left of the marina. Furthermore, the bigger car park now has a direct connection with the main road. Looking at the southern half, to the left of the lifeboat are new cafes and shops. In addition, the road was extended with a path leading to the hotel that is built on the former site of the castle, and the hotel also holds the control of the beach which was a public beach in 2000.
