The given bar chart depicts the percentage of attendants across three categories of musical events namely classical, opera and popular music in 2006. Overall, popular music was the best choice of the youth and middle-aged adult, while classical music attracted the least attendants across all ages. Popular music dominantly attracted nearly 40% of younger attendants aged 15-24, which was followed by people aged 25-34 and 35-44 at about 27% and 33%, respectively. The percentages of young people joining in opera performances were noticeably lower, with people aged 35-44 comprising the highest rate of exactly 25%, which almost doubled that of groups 15-24 and 25-34, at 13% and 14%. Moreover, the rates of people having a favor for classical music with the age 15-24 and 35-44 were relatively on a par of 11%, which was slightly higher than that from group 25-34 at 8%. The figures for older people aged 45 and over enjoying pop music were similar, which stood at exactly 15%. There was a slight difference between people who liked classical music aged 45-54 and over 55, at 10% and 8%, respectively. The amount of popular music lovers aged 45-54 stood at about 13%, which almost doubled that of people from group over 55 at exactly 5%.
