＋Nowadays, the topic of genetic engineering has been a widely discussed. ＋It is often said that it is beneficial to humans life while some individuals hold the opposite opinion. Although negative outcomes may be caused by genetic program, I would argue that benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

On the one hand, genetic engineering may lead to negative outcomes in some ways. Firstly, ethical problem may occur due to some illegal genetic activities. Genetic engineering may encourage unethical practices such as human embryo editing or cloning, raising concerns about human dignity and equality. Secondly, though various types of food is produced in laboratory by means of genetics, not all of them have been verified as healthy and suitable for humans. As a result, genetic engineering poses a series of problems needed to be solved.＋

On the other hand, genetic engineering enhances people’s lives in different ways. To begin with, genetic skills have the potential to tackle unsolved medical problems in the past so that it is possible to cure patients suffering from severe diseases. For example, in genetic laboratory, experts now are able to biologically cultivate organs that can be used in surgical operations. Furthermore, while it is true that genetically modified food is not so powerful, I strongly support the other genetics-related research. For instance, hybrid rice which is an obvious outcome after genetic operations can survive in extreme weather with less water and the productivity doubles or even triples compared with the past.＋

＋In conclusion, despite the disadvantages of genetic engineering, it seems to me that it is a powerful tool to enhance human life.
