There is a key reason why some people suffer from a heavier workload than others. The main factor is that they have a strong desire to achieve success. In today’s modern digital era, both undergraduates and employees face different difficulties and intense competitions. Students who are still studying hard for their dream university, whereas employees work harder, in order to climb corporate ladders and earn more income. However, due to the increasing population density, the competition in both educational and employment fields has risen significantly. Therefore, people nowadays are trying to work harder, so that they can seize the opportunities to chase their goals.
In my opinion, this diligence brings along with it both advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, working hard helps us to achieve their goals more easily. In terms of undergraduates, working harder means they have to live under pressure with various tasks. Through practicing numerous assignments, the students can acquire the knowledge more effectively than same-age students, improving their academic performance. Regarding employees, due to their heavy workloads, they can enhance their productivity and efficiency in the workforce, helping them to climb the corporate ladder. Nevertheless, working too hard can lead to stress and burn-out. People put effort in study or work, however disregarding their mental health may cause consequences like depression.+
